NZ Performance Bred

The aim behind the Performance Bred section at Farmlands HOY 2015 is simple... to put New Zealand's best on the world stage.

For those behind the section, it makes perfect sense for the nation to follow in the footsteps of Katie McVean's Superstar Dunstan Delphi.

We want to be able to take our World Cup horses to Europe and do well, but to that we need to breed something exceptional.

Temperament, conformation, obedience and paces are all put under the spot light, with particular attention paid to the horses suitability to it chosen discipline – whether that be dressage, showjumping, eventing.

All horses in the Performance Bred section must be at least 50% Warmblood be registered with the New Zealand Warmblood Association, and/or Holsteiner or Hanoverian Association.

This ensures quality, depth and bone.
