Qualification for the Horse of the Year Title Awards - Entries close 8 February 2008

To enter these classes you must have won a CHAMPION or RESERVE CHAMPION in a conformation
class at any A&P show, HOY Qualifying show 8 March 2008, or a recognized NZMHA show. Proof of qualification must be provided from the show secretary or a full set of results sent in with entries. Should your horse go over height for age during the season, you will need to re-qualify in the correct section. E.g. To go into the HOY Cat B you must have qualified in a B section class. Post Entries for those that qualify on Saturday 8 March 2008 will be taken up to 4pm that day at the Miniature Show Office. Cost $15 per Horse.

RULES AND CONDITIONS THAT APPLY TO THE MINIATURE HORSE SECTION

* Competitors and Exhibitors must comply with the appropriate legislation and the Health and Safety Employment Act
1992. Each competitor and/or exhibitor must supervise and control their animals at all times and shall be liable for any hazard created, accident, illness or damage caused by the action of themselves at this venue of the event.
* Please be aware that drug testing may be carried out in the Miniature horse section, normal drug testing rules will apply.
* The show will run under the current NZMHA height for age rules
* Copies of a current NZMHA height certificate and a copy of the horses registration certificate must accompany entries.
* Confirmation of Champion or Reserved Champion as appropriate, at a A&P, HOY qualifying show or NZMHA
approved show where required. (refer Title classes section)
* Novice Status- wins to count from A&P, HOY qualifying show and NZMHA approved shows
* Please refer to the H.O.Y. show conditions in the N.Z.E.F. bulletin.
* No child 15yrs and under may handle or show a colt or stallion 2yrs and over.
* Limited stabling will be available; priority will be given to competitors from out of the area. Race course stables $48 for 3 nights.
* Competitors must be responsible for having their horses ready to compete on time. (Stewards will NOT hold up classes)
* No refund on entry fees unless evidence of a doctors or vet certificate. Maximum 75% of entry fees refunded.
Notification must be before the show starts and certificate must be received by co-ordinator within two weeks for this to be valid.
* The Miniature Horse of the Year co-ordinator has the right to recall any trophies, sashes, and products incorrectly awarded up to seven days after the show.
* The Miniature Horse of the Year co-ordinator has the right to alter combine or cancel classes as is deemed necessary.
* PROTESTS All protests shall be in writing and a cash fee of fifty ($50 dollars) lodged with the HOY SECRETARY (not miniature co-ordinator) within thirty (30) minutes of the finalizing of any protested dispute.
* The official photographer will be taking photos in the area set aside for HOY photos
* Dressage tests: Dressage judges sheets will be given out as soon as the last results are on the notice board and an announcement will be made to pick up the test sheets.
* Horse numbers; The horse will use the same number for both days. When the horse has finished all events, please return the numbers to the co-ordinators office.
* Closing date for entries is Friday 8 February with the Miniature horse co-ordinator.
