SHOWJUMPING CONDITIONS FOR 2008 KELT CAPITAL HORSE OF THE YEAR SHOW

CONDITIONS

CLAUSE 1 - CLASS 32 - PONY OF THE YEAR
The following ponies will qualify for the Class 32- Pony of the Year.
a) The Top 18 ponies from the FMG Pony Grand Prix Series as at the 29th February 2008.
b) The 2007 Pony of the Year winning combination if they are not included in the top 18 as per (a) above, as long as the rider is eligible because of age.
c) A maximum of the top 7 unqualified ponies from Class 18, Pony Championship stakes.

CLAUSE 2 - CLASS 43 - PREMIER STAKES
The following horses will qualify for Class 43 - Premier Stakes
a) The top 20 horses from the Cathay Pacific 1 & 2 star Grand Prix Series as at the 29th February 2008 who have not nominated to start in Class 45, the Horse of the Year Class.
b) Please note that horses who nominated to start in Class 45 as at the 29th February will not be eligible to compete in Class 43

CLAUSE 3 - CLASS 45 - HORSE OF THE YEAR CLASS
The following conditions apply to Class 45 - Showjumper of the Year Class
a) Limited to 30 horses
b) Each rider may only ride one horse.
c) A nomination fee of $500 must be paid with entries by the 6th February (Closing Date)
d) This nomination fee becomes non-refundable as at the 29th February unless a vet certificate is produced.
e) Acceptance fee of $8500 is to be paid to the Kelt Capital Horse of the Year Office by 4pm on Saturday 8th March 2008.
f) A cheque $6,000 will be available, to each competitor starting in Class 45, from the Horse of the Year Office 30minutes after the completion of this class. Please note that, where applicable, the $6,000 is part payment of the prizemoney and will thus be deducted from the rider's total prizemoney. The remaining prizemoney will be paid out after the show.
g) If more than 30 combinations enter this class, it will be up to the committee to decide who competes.
h) Due to the Equine Influenza in Australia, the committee reserves the right to change the prize money and entry restrictions, should they deem this necessary.

CLAUSE 4 - CLASS 48 - INTERMEDIATE RIDER
a) This class has the same age restrictions as the Young Rider Series
b) Riders who are entering both Classes 20 & 48 must not ride the same horse in both classes. However the same rider may enter both classes on different horses.
c) Junior Riders may enter this Class as well as Class 34.

CLAUSE 5 -- NZ Pony Club Area Teams Championships
a) Teams are to consist of 2 ponies and 2 horses.
b) Teams are to be selected by New Zealand Pony Club Areas
c) Team members must be certified Pony Club Members and the 5 rally rule applies.
d) Individual entries for this class are not to be made to the Horse of the Year Office
e) Areas are to submit entries to the NZPC Assn Executive Officer, PO Box 8626, Havelock North by 6th February 2008. No individual entries, for this class, will be accepted.
f) If team members wish to enter other classes at the show, they must enter these other classes as normal through the Horse of the Year Office.
g) There will be no stabling on the grounds unless full stabling fees are paid to the Horse of the Year office, as per stabling conditions.
h) There will be no ground levy payable by team members who are not competing in any other class.
i) Team members who are competing in other classes, as well as Class 48, must send their ground levy and stabling fees, with their normal entry forms, to the Horse of the Year Office.

CLAUSE 6 - CLASS 32, 38, 40, & 49 - PONY CHAMPIONSHIP CLASSES
a) Ponies my only enter one class from Classes 32, 38, 40 & 49
b) Riders may enter as many of these classes as they wish but each entry must be on a different pony.

CLAUSE 7 - CLASSES 8, 20, 32, 34, 35, 36, 43, 45, 46, 50, - SERIES CLASSES
Please note that all series classes are run under their respective series conditions. To check on these conditions please see the Showjumping Section of Equestrian Sports New Zealand Website - www.nzequestrian.org.nz.

CLAUSE 8 - CLASS 2 & 21 - NORWOOD GOLD CUP, SILVER FERN STAKES
Each rider may only ride one horse per competition.

CLAUSE 9 - CLASS 23 - SALES COMPETITION
1. Open to horses and ponies
2. Entry fee $200
3. All entries to be sent to the Horse of the Year office by the 6th Feb. 2008. Entry must be on the Horse of the Year Entry form. Show conditions and late entry fees apply
4. There will be no stabling on the grounds unless horses are competing in other classes and then full stabling fees are paid to the Horse of the Year office, as per stabling conditions.
5. There will be no ground levy payable for horses who are not competing in any other class.
6. There are 3 height levels, 1.10m, 1.20m, 1.30m+, Vendors chose the height which will show their horse to the best of it's ability.
7. The KCHOY will produce a catalogue of the horses, the catalogue will include the horses breeding, price, classes that the horse is competing in during the show and the contact details of the vendor.
8. Those wishing to sell horses/ponies that are competing in the dressage or showing sections are able to enter their horses in the catalogue only for $50.

CLAUSE 10 - CLASS 9 - SABA SAM SHIELD
1. There are no individual entries
2. The manager of each team must complete the team entry form available from the office and return it to the office, with the entry fee by 4.00pm on Wednesday 5th March
