CATHAY PACIFIC TRI-NATIONS DAY 1

The Showjumping members of the New Zealand Tri-Nations team were reasonably successful during their first day of competition in the South African leg of the Tri-Nations series which is being held in Johannesburg. After the first two rounds, South Africa and New Zealand were on equal faults, thus forcing a jump off which South Africa narrowly won.

Individual results were
Lisa Coupe - had 4 faults in the first round and clear in the second
Oliver Edgecombe had 4 faults in the first round and 5 in the second
Simon Wilson had 4 faults in the first round and clear in the second
Robert Steele had 4 faults in the first round and 12 in the second.

We await with interest the first day's Dressage results.

We wish all the team members a very successful second day.
